48Q Four Partition Configuration
The mailslot (if configured as MAIL) is shared between the logical libraries.
Partition 1
Tape drive 1: half-height drive (default element address = 256)
Magazines: #1
Partition 2
Tape drive 2: half-height drive (default element address = 256)
Magazines: #2
Partition 3
Tape drive 3: half-height drive (default element address = 256)
Magazines: #3
Partition 4
Tape drive 4: half-height drive (default element address = 256)

Removed Drives
If a drive is physically removed, it is reported to the host application by reference to its SCSI
element address. It is reported as 'not accessible' until it is inserted again in the drive slot and
either:
• A "Reset to Default" from any u
ser-interface occurs, or:
• The logical library configuration chan
ges (adding/removing of libraries)
