30. If the VNX array has more than two frontend ports on each SP, the system prompts
you about automatically detecting the VNX fibre ports (Figure 130):
a. To automatically detect which ports the VNX backend is using on the FC
switch, select Yes and press Enter. Then go to step 32 on page 215 .
Note: If you did not use the default SP and FC switch cabling in “Step 1: Blade Fibre
Channel cables” on page 58 for VG2 or page 90 for VG8, you must manually select the
FC switch ports the VNX array will use.
b. To manually select which FC switch ports the VNX array will use, tab to No
and press Enter.

31. The dialog box in Figure 131 appears. Do the following:
a. Use the Spacebar and Tab to select one port in the left column going into the
switch from the frontend.
b. Use the Spacebar and Tab to select one port in the right column going out of
the switch into the backend.
c. Tab to Ok and press Enter.
