Assignment of the measured variables to the AI module
The measured variables are permanently assigned to the six Analog Input function blocks (AI) and
cannot be changed.

TOTAL module - cyclic transmission of totalizer values
The measuring device has three totalizer function blocks. The totalizer values can be read out
cyclically by the automation system by means of the TOTAL module. Here, the cyclic transmission
of totalizer values to the automation system is effected in data blocks of 5 bytes. The totalizer value
is portrayed in the first four bytes in the form of floating point numbers in accordance with IEEE
754 standard. The fifth byte contains status information pertaining to the totalizer value which is
implemented in accordance with the PROFIBUS Profile Specification, Version 3.0.

Assignment of the measured variables to the TOTAL module (totalizer value)
The TOTAL module can transmit different measured variables to the PROFIBUS master system.
The measured variables are assigned to the totalizer function block (TOTAL) by means of the local
display or with the aid of a class 2 master (operating program) in the “CHANNEL” parameter:
Configuration via the local display:
Function group → BASIC FUNCTION → PROFIBUS PA → TOTALIZER → SELECT TOTALIZER 1
→ CHANNEL
Configuration via the operating program:
