StationAddressistheMACaddressofthewirelessclient.
Authenticateddisplaysifthestationhasbeenauthenticated.Thetwobasicmethodsof
authenticationsupportedfor802.11wirelessnetworksare“opensystem”and“sharedkey.”
Opensystemauthenticationacceptsanyclientattempting toconnecttotheaccesspoint
withoutverifying
itsidentity.ThesharedkeyapproachusesWiredEquivalentPrivacy(WEP)
toverifyclientidentitybydistributingasharedkeytostationsbeforeattempting
authentication.
Associateddisplaysifthestationhasbeensuccessfullyassociatedwiththeaccesspoint.Once
authenticationiscompleted,stationscanassociatewiththecurrentaccesspoint,or
reassociate
withanewaccesspoint.Theassociationprocedureallowsthewirelesssystemtotrackthe
locationofeachmobileclient,andensurethatframesdestinedforeachclientareforwardedto
theappropriateaccesspoint.
ForwardingAlloweddisplaysifthestationhaspassed802.11authenticati on,andisnow
allowed
toforwardtraffictotheaccesspoint.

WPA‐AESusedforWPA/WPa2withAEScipher.
