theon‐boardagentusingSNMPv1andv2ciscontrolledbycommunitystrings.Tocommunicate
withtheaccesspoint,amanagementstationmustfirstsubmitavalidcommunitystringfor
authentication.

messageintegrity,authentication,andencryption;aswellascontrollingnotificationsthataresent
tospecifiedusertargets.
YoucanuseanetworkmanagementapplicationsuchasEnterasysNetworksNetSightConsoleto
managetheRBT‐4102viaSNMP
fromanetworkmanagementstation.
ToimplementSNMPmanagement,theRBT‐4102musthaveanIPaddressandsubnetmask,
configuredmanuallyordynamically.OnceanIPaddresshasbeenconfigured,appropriateSNMP
communitiesandtrapreceiversshouldbeconfigured.
