Using the CLI to Configure Virtual APs
Fromtheglobalconfigurationmode,entertheinterfacewirelessacommandtoaccessthe802.11a
radiointerface,ortheinterfacewirelessgcommandtoaccessthe802.11gradiointerface.Usethe
vap[1‐7]commandtospecifytheVAPyouwanttoconfigureandtoenterVAPmode.SettheVAP
SSIDusingthessidcommandand,ifrequired,configureanamefortheVAPusingthe
descriptioncommand.Usethenative‐vlanidcommandtospecifythenativeVLANIDforthis
VAP.EnablesecureaccessforthisVAPwiththesecure‐accesscommand.Setanyotherparameters
asrequired.Specifywhether
clientsassociatedwiththisVAPcanestablishwireless
communicationswitheachotherthroughtheAPwiththeibss‐relaycommand.Specifythe
maximumnumberofclientsthatcanassociatewiththeVAPusingthemax‐associationcommand.
