2,327bytes.YoucanconfiguretheaccesspointtoinitiateanRTSframesequencealways,

sizeissmallerthanthe
presetRTSthresholdsize,theRTS/CTSmechanismwillNOTbeenabled.
Theaccesspointsendsrequesttosend(RTS)framestoaparticularreceivingstationto
negotiatethesendingofadataframe.AfterreceivinganRTS,thestationsendaCTS(Clearto
Send)frame
toacknowledgetherightforthestationtosenddataframes.
Theaccesspointcontendingforthemediummaynotbeawareofeachother.TheRTS/CTS
mechanismcansolvethisʺHiddenNodeProblemʺ.
IftheRTSthresholdissetto0,theaccesspointneversendsRTSsignals.If
setto2347,the
accesspointalwayssendsRTSsignals.Ifsettoanyothervalue,andthepacketsizeequalsor
exceedstheRTSthreshold,theRTS/CTS(RequesttoSend/CleartoSend)mechanismwillbe
