AIRWORTHINESS LIMITATIONS
1. GENERAL
The Chapter “Airworthiness Limitations” is approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)
in accordance with the applicable certification procedures and the type certification basis. This
Chapter includes specification of the airworthiness restrictions required by the Certification
Specification CS-LSA.
This Chapter determines the maximum replacement intervals and/or maintenance requirements for
parts of the airplane, systems and structures determined to be life limited and/or parts which require
monitoring of the schedule maintenance.
NOTE
All time limits and requirements listed in this section are also
covered in Chapter 5.
The following airworthiness limitations and requirements are separated into these groups:
A. Maintenance limitations
Component and system checks required to be performed during airplane scheduled
maintenance.
B. Replacement limitations
Listing of time limits for replacement of specific components.
C. Structure limitations
Limitations of the airplane structure on the basis of certification calculations and tests.
