C. Auxiliary generator

Part 66 or higher

(1) Removal – auxiliary generator
(a) Switch the electrical network off and disconnect the battery.
(b) Remove the engine cowlings (Section 71-10).
(c) Pull down the rubber cover of the contact (6, Fig. 24-5).
(d) Unscrew the nut (4) and remove the nut (5) attaching the cable (2) to the generator
(1) and disconnect the connector (3) of the line to the regulator; the connector (3) is
equipped with a safety lock. After pressing down the safety lock, it is possible to
take it out from the socket.
(e) Unscrew and remove the nuts (4) and the washers (5) of the generator attachment
(1) on the propeller gearbox (8).
(f) Remove the hose fastener (7).
(g) Remove the auxiliary generator (1).
(2) Installation – auxiliary generator
(a) Place the auxiliary generator (1, Fig. 24-5) on the screws on the propeller gearbox
(8).
(b) Slide the hose fastener (7) on the right upper screw.
(c) Put the washers (5) on the screws (4), screw on and tighten the nuts (4).
(d) Connect the connector (3); push the connector safety lock before inserting it into
the socket.
(e) Slide the cable eye (2) on the screw of the contact on the auxiliary generator (1).
(f) Put on the washer (5) and screw on the nut (4); install the rubber cover (6) over the
contact.
(g) Install the engine cowlings (Section 71-10).
(h) Connect the battery, switch the electrical network on.
(i) Start the engine, do the engine test and check the function of the generator.
