D. Auxiliary generator regulator

Part 66 or higher

(1) Removal – auxiliary generator regulator
(a) Switch the electrical network off and disconnect the battery.
(b) Remove the engine cowlings (Section 71-10).
(c) Loosen the screw and disconnect the wires (2, Fig. 24-6) from the terminal strip
(7). Note down the position of individual wires on the terminal strip.
(d) Unscrew the nuts (6) of the regulator attachment (1) on the firewall (8), remove the
washers (5), remove the eye of the ground wire (3) and remove the screws (4) with
the washers (5).
(2) Installation – auxiliary generator regulator
(a) Put the regulator (1, Fig. 24-6) to the appropriate position on the firewall (8) and
insert the screws (4) with the washers (5) into the holes.
(b) Slide the cable eye of the ground wire (3) and the washers (5) on the protruding
ends of the screws (4).
(c) Screw on and tighten the nuts (6).
(d) Insert the wires (2) into the terminal strip (7) and tighten the screws.
(e) Install the engine cowlings (Section 71-10).
(f) Connect the battery, switch the electrical network on.
(g) Start the engine, do the engine test and check the function of the generator.
