MOUNTS
1. DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The engine is suspended on the engine mount in the airplane. The engine mount is composed of the
spatial part welded from steel, Cr-Mo tubes. The engine mount is formed by a trapezoidal frame and
the attachment eyes are welded on its tops. The eyes of attachments are modified for the installation
of silent blocks.
The engine mount is attached by means of screws, through the silent blocks, to the attachments on
the firewall. The tube frames run out from the peaks of the trapezoidal frame of the engine mount to
the attachments on the engine. The upper fames are single tubes, the lower frames are tubes of V
shape. The frames have on their ends suspension eyes for screws for attachment to the engine block.
The screws of lower attachments on the engine block carry the brackets for attaching the exhaust
muffler.
