ENGINE DRAINS
1. DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The engine drainage is composed of the carburettor venting, outlet from the condensate sumps under
the carburettors and from the outlet from the airbox.
The carburettors are vented by means the hoses interconnecting the draining outlets of the
carburettors with the outlets on the front, upper part of the airbox.
The condensate sumps are installed under the carburettors. These sumps serve also as a heat shield
of carburettors.
The condensate sumps are drained by the hoses led along the tubes of the engine mount supporting
structure.
The airbox is drained by means of the hoses from the outlets on the lower rear part of the airbox, led
parallely with the venting hoses of the carburettor condensate sumps.
The drain hoses lead in the opening in the lower engine cowling, through which the heated air leaves
the engine compartment.
