F. External alternator V-belt / V-belt pulley

(1) Removal – external alternator V-belt pulley
(a) Switch the electrical network off and disconnect the battery.
(b) Remove the engine cowlings (Section 71-10).
(c) Loosen the bolts (6; 8; 15, Fig. 24-7) and release the belt (2, Fig. 24-9).
(d) Remove the propeller (Section 61-10).
(e) Remove the V-belt (2).
(f) As necessary remove the V-belt pulley:
1 Unscrew and remove the screws (4) with the washers (5).
2 Remove the V-belt pulley (1) and two pulley carrier plates (3).
(2) Installation – external alternator V-belt pulley
(a) Thoroughly clean the engine flange (6, Fig. 24-9).
(b) Slide the pulley (1) fully over the propeller fIange (6) and insert the V-belt (2)
loosely in the V-belt pulley.
(c) Place both halves of pulley carrier plate (3) with centering towards inside of
propeller flange (6) and attach loosely with bolts M10x25, washers and nuts
(installation aids).
CAUTION
THE TWO PULLEY CARRIERS MUST BE POSITIONED
PRECISELY WITH THE CENTERING EXACTLY ON THE
INSIDE OF THE PROPELLER FLANGE.
(d) Push the V-belt pulley (1) onto the two V-belt pulley carriers (3) and attach with the
screws (4) with washers (5); tighten the screws using a torque of 6 Nm.
(e) Remove the bolts M10x25, washers and nuts (installation aids).
(f) Install the propeller (Section 61-10).
(g) Install the belt (2).
(h) Tension the belt (see par. 2 E. (3)).
