2. MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
A. Cockpit lighting
Maintenance type: Line
Personnel qualification: Independent verification personnel qualified in accordance with
Part 66 or higher
Recommended tools and material:
Hex wrench No. 2,5 1 pc.
Cable tie 2,5x99 23 pcs.
Pincers - 1 pc.
Soldering iron - 1 pc.
Solder - -
Heat gun - 1 pc.
Shrinkable tube ø 3x1 mm -
(1) Removal – cockpit lighting
(a) Switch the electrical network off and disconnect the battery.
(b) Cut the cable ties which attach wires of the lamp (2, Fig. 33-1) to the sunshade.
(apply for the cockpit canopy equipped with the sunshade).
(c) Slightly pull the wires from the bushing (5) and remove the shrinkable tubes.
(d) Use the soldering iron to disconnect the wires.
(e) Unscrew the screws (4) and remove the lamp (1).
(2) Installation – cockpit lighting
(a) Align the lamp (1, Fig. 33-1) with the guide rail (3) / middle column (6) and attach it
with screws (4).
(b) Put a new shrinkable tube on the wires (2), use the soldering iron and solder to
attach them to the harness; cover the joints with a shrinkable tube and carefully
heat it with a heat gun

NOTE
Refer to the wiring diagram in Chapter 91.
(c) Put the joints into the middle column of the canopy (6).
(d) Use cable ties to attach wires of the lamp (2) to the sunshade (apply for the cockpit
canopy equipped with the sunshade).
(e) Connect the battery, switch the electrical network on and check function of the
lamp.
