Virtual Welding provides a realistic simula-
tion of manual MIG/MAG welding and ma-
nual metal arc welding, as well as other
processes. True-to-scale 1:1 models of
welding torches, electrode holders and
workpieces are used for the different weld
seam profiles. Sensors permanently detect
the position of the welding torch relative to
the workpiece and allow realistic represen-
tation of the torch's current position.
The welding helmet likewise has a sensor
which detects the current position of the
head and takes into account the welder's
perspective on the workpiece. Optional VR
glasses directly integrated into the welding
helmet make the visualisation of the wel-
ding process appear even more realistic.
Operation and standard display are via a
22-inch high-resolution touchscreen. A sto-
rage space is provided for necessary equip-
ment such as the helmet, workpieces and
welding torch.
For basic training, help features appear on the display to allow the trainee to internalise the
principal movements step by step, so that they learn the required skills quickly and in a
goal-orientated way.
In addition to the stationary StandUp termi-
nal, the MobileCase is available for mobile
applications. This comes in a robust
carrying case and likewise has space for all
the required equipment, including work-
pieces, welding torch and welding helmet.
Application The trainee can perfect their own skills in an environment free from noise, radiation or
emissions, without significant energy consumption and without consuming any raw mate-
rials whatsoever. Besides the features available in training mode, a realistic simulation of
