Installing/removing a Sm artCard reader (optional)
Operation of this module is not permitted in Taiwan.
In systems equipped with a SmartCard reader, access can be restricted to those
users wh o have a c orresponding SmartCard.
Installing the SmartCard reader

► Open the casing (s ee "Open ing the casing", Page 34).
► Break out the web at the SmartCard opening on the fron t cover.

► Remove the drive cage (see "Remov ing
the drive cage" , Page 37)
► Slide the SmartCard reader into the
bay provided for it (1) and secure it
with the tw o screws (2).
► Make sure that the SmartCard reader
is also between the two bracke ts.
Otherwise, you will not be able to insert
the SmartCard from outside.
► Connect the cable for the SmartCard reader to the mainboard and the SmartCard
reader. Refer to the manua l for the mainboard.
► Install the drive cage again (see "
Installing the d rive cag e", Page 38).
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing", Page 35).
