7.1 Start SnapOPC+
This function is used to select the copy source volume and copy destination volume, and start a new SnapOPC+
copy session.
The maximum number of sessions and the maximum number of generations for each model
*1: The maximum number of generations for a SnapOPC+ from a single copy source volume.
The procedure to start the SnapOPC+ session is as follows:
1 Click [Start SnapOPC+] in [Action].

• Registering the license for the Advanced Copy function is required to start a SnapOPC+ session.
• Only SnapOPC+ copy sessions that are performed in units of volumes can be created using ETERNUS Web
GUI.
To create EC, OPC, QuickOPC, SnapOPC, SnapOPC+ sessions using range selection, and REC sessions, use
copy management software.
• When using SnapOPC+, make sure to create SDVs and SDPVs. For generation management, create SDVs
for each generation. Refer to "3.1 Create Volume" (page 253)
for details.
• An ODX Buffer volume cannot be specified as a copy source.
