Using the stylus pen
You can use the pen on yo
ur notebook as an electronic writing implement to select
items and to navigate t
hrough menu options and programs. Program s that support
handwriting recogni
tion also allow you to write characters directly on the scree n with
the pen. You c an also u
se the pe n as a drawing tool.
The notebook pen is ret
ained securely in the pen slot. This ensures that the pen cannot be
lost, regardless of w
hether you use the notebook as a Tablet PC or as a notebook, or transport
it while travelling
. Always replace the pen in its slot when you are no t using it.
The no tebook is supp
lied with a pen cord which you can attach to the eyelets
on the pen and on the n
otebook.
Only use the pen pro
vided with your notebook. Do not use substitute pen tips
that were not speci
ally designed for your notebook. Replace the stylus tip if it
is worn. The warra
nty does not cover a scratched scree n.
While writing, you
should ta ke care not to scr atch the surface of the
display (e.g. wit
h a wristwatch or bracelet).
