Connection blades
8.1.2 Port assignment
For the on-board LAN controller, the Ethernet and Fibre Channel mezzanine
cards of the server blades applies the following general rule: The A-channels
(Ethernet: ports 1 and 3, FC: port 0) are connected to the connection blade slots
on the left-hand side (CB1, CB3, CB5 and CB7). The B-channels (Ethernet:
ports 2 and 4, FC: port 1) are connected to the slots on the right-hand side (CB2,
CB4, CB6 and CB8).
For Infiniband mezzanine cards applies the following rule: Port 1 is connected
to fabric 4 (CB7/8) and port 2 is connected to fabric 2 (CB3/4) and fabric 3
(CB5/6).
