11.2 Replacing the front docking board
11.2.1 Required tools
● Preliminary and concluding steps: tool-less
● Replacing the front docking board:
– PH0 / (+) No. 0 screw driver
11.2.2 Preliminary steps
Before replacing the front docking board, perform the following steps:
Ê Save the management blade settings as described in section "Saving /
Restoring management blade settings" on page 64.
Ê If applicable, open the rack door as described in section "Opening the rack
door" on page 48.
Ê Locate the desired system unit as described in section "Locating the
defective system unit" on page 45.
Ê Shut down the system unit as described in section "Shutting down the
system unit" on page 49.
Ê Make sure that the server blade slots 7, 8, 15 and 16 are empty as described
in section "Removing / installing server blades and storage blades" on
page 54.
Ê Remove the AC power cords from the cable ties and disconnect them from
the PSUs as described in section "Disconnecting the power cords" on
page 49.
