Management Blades
Ê Take a note of the firmware version of the master management blade as
described in section "Looking up the management blade firmware version"
on page 66.
9.3.3 Removing the defective management blade
Ê Remove the defective management blade.
A management blade is removed in the same way as a single-width
connection blade as described in section "Removing a single-width
connection blade" on page 116.
9.3.4 Installing the management blade
Ê Unpack the management blade.
Ê Install the management blade in the system unit.
A management blade is installed in the same way as a single-width
connection blade as described in section "Installing a single-width
connection blade" on page 113.
9.3.5 Concluding steps
Perform the following procedures to complete the task:
Ê Wait until the boot process of new management blade has finished.
Ê If one management blade is installed, connect a field service terminal to the
management blade as described in section "Accessing the management
blade web interface" on page 44.
Ê Check the firmware version of the new management blade as described in
section "Looking up the management blade firmware version" on page 66.
Ê If applicable, update the firmware of the new management blade as
described in section "Updating / recovering the management blade
firmware" on page 66.
Ê If two management blades are installed, check the management blade
master/slave behavior as described in section "Checking management
master/slave behavior" on page 73.
