Chapter 6 Installing Internal Options
3 Install the PSU.
Hold the PSU with both hands and insert it straight into the PSU slot.
When installing the PSU, be sure to confirm that the connector of the PSU is not damaged or
bent.
4 Connect the power cable to the inlet.
How to remove the power supply unit
1 Turn off the server and all peripheral devices. Also unplug the power cable from
the inlet.

2 Remove the PSU by pressing the lever.
Pull out the PSU by holding the handle with one hand and supporting the PSU with the other
hand.
If the PSU is hard to remove, do not pull out it by force. Slide the PSU all the way down once,
and then remove it while holding the lever completely down.
• Areas around the PSU may remain extremely hot after shutdown. Wait for a
while after shutdown before removing the PSU.
