3 Install a new PSU or dummy unit.
6.8.4 Replacing the PSU during Redundant Operation
When an optional PSU is installed and the redundant feature is enabled, if one PSU fails, the lamp
(green) on the defective PSU turns off. The defective PSU can be replaced without shutting down the
server.
Be sure to install a new PSU after removing the defective PSU.
1 Unplug the power cable from the failed PSU inlet.
2 Remove the defective PSU.

3 Install a new PSU.

4 Connect the power cable to the inlet of the replaced PSU.
