Hard disk drive indicator
Hard disk drive active HDD BUSY
– lights green: HDD in active phase
– remains dark: HDD inactive
Drive error HDD FAULT
(only in conjunction with a RAID controller)
– does not light: No HDD error
– lights orange: HDD Faulty oder Rebuild Stopped (drive defective /
needs replacing, a rebuild process was stopped or the HDD module is
not correctly inserted )
– slow blink: HDD Rebuild (a rebuild is carried out by the RAID controller
after replacing a hard disk drive)
– fast blink: HDD Identify
– four fast blinks/pause: HDD Predicted Fault
(not relevant for the Promise-TX4 SATA RAID controller)
– two fast blinks/pause: HDD hot-spare (hot-spare drive active. The
corresponding drive has failed)
(not relevant for the Promise-TX4 SATA RAID controller)
