Connect tubing
Make sure that the tubing to the fraction collector is properly connected. See Connect
tubing to the ÄKTA avant instrument, on page 134.
Sensor control
The sensor control can be switched between the two positions "small tubes" and "large
tubes", indicated in the illustration below.
The position for large tubes is used for tubes of approximately 18 mm i.d. and larger.
The position for small tubes is used for tubes smaller than 18 mm i.d. Note that this is a
rough approximation. Always check that the eluent tubing is centered above the collection
tube.
