Disconnect the tubing from the top of the UV flow cell, and replace the fin-
gertight connector with a Luer connector.

Disconnect the tubing from the bottom of the UV flow cell, and connect a
piece of waste tubing to the UV flow cell. Insert the waste tubing into a waste
container.

Fill a syringe with distilled water, and connect the syringe to the Luer con-
nector.

Squirt the distilled water through the UV flow cell in small amounts. Discon-
nect the syringe.

Fill a syringe with a 10% surfactant detergent solution, such as Decon 90,
Deconex 11, RBS 25 or equivalent, and connect the syringe to the Luer
connector.
Tip:
Heat the 10% surfactant detergent solution to 40°C to increase the cleaning
effect.
