Fault - Blind Riveting Gun
Blind rivet is conveyed too far out of spreader
nosepiece
- Press OFF button
- Remove blind rivet
- Press ON button
- Execute "Cycle" function in "MAN" menu.
Cause
Corrective measures
Jaws jammed and/or broken-off mandrel was
not ejected.
Maintain (or replace) jaws, see Section 10.1
"Maintenance Information" - "Lubricating
Jaws".
Check blow air setting, for basic setting see
Section 9.6 "GAV Settings" - "Blow Air".
Lock spring 2-8033 broken.
Replace lock spring 2-8033, see Section 21
"Riveting Gun Repair Instructions" - "Replacing
Lock Spring".
Jaw tube 2-6032 stiff.
Replace jaw tube 2-6032, see Section 21
"Riveting Gun Repair Instructions" - "Replacing
Jaw Tube".
Holding force of O-rings 2-50 on spreader
nosepiece 2-80 too low.
Fit additional O-ring 2-50 on spreader nose-
piece 2-80 (use genuine part).
Jaw housing 2-8005 or 8205 broken out of inlet
cone.
Replace jaw housing 2-8005 or 8205, for pro-
cedure see Section 21 "Riveting Gun Repair
Instructions" - "Replacing Jaws".
