7 DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
7.4.5 Adjusting the Y Belt Tension
(1) Detach the Y bar cover (Refer to the section 7.1.13.).
(2) Detach the front Y bar end cover (Refer to the section 7.1.15.).
(3) Move the pen block to the rear end position of Y bar.
(4) Tighten the adjustment screws until the marking position that was marked when the Y belt was detached.

(5) Adjust belt tension by the two Y belt tension screws.

* Turn the screws to clockwise to tighten the belt tension.
* Turn the screws to counterclockwise to loosen the belt tension.
(6) Measure the belt tension as following picture using the push-pull gauge
at the center of rear Y belt.
Pull the X belt 10 mm from vertical position of belt, and then measure the belt tension.

Pull the Y belt at center of belt by push pull gauge.

10 mm
(7) Adjust the belt tension to be the following table of tension.
FCX4000-50 FCX4000-60,
790g to 830g 610g to 650g
