Test adapter
replaces MB
With the test adapter you can test the function of the machine operating panel as well as the
function of the MB interface on the MC:
8 Shut down the control and switch off the machine.
8 Disconnect the MB cable from the MC.
8 Connect the test adapter instead to connector X46 of the MC.
8 Switch on the machine.
8 Press the EMERGENCY STOP button.
8 Use a line that you then insert into the socket 37 (or 36) of the test adapter.
8 Insert the other end of the line into the socket for the respective key.
Use the respective table with the pin layout. --> See “Machine Operating Panel” on page 27
– 499.
8 You can simulate the pressing of keys by bridging the respective banana jacks on the test
adapter.
8 Observe the keys, e.g. in the PLC-TABLE.
Do not cause a short circuit of the voltage (pin 36/37 and pin 34/35)!
As the MB interface X46 on the MC is designed as female, you can also connect the pins
with a bridge and thus conduct a simulation by pressing the keys.
