24.7 Corrective Action
Keys If a key no longer makes contact:
Return the handwheel for repair!
If a key permanently makes contact:
If required, remove chips and clean the keyboard!
8 Shut down the control and switch off the machine.
8 Screw off the handwheel.
8 Clean it with a standard cleaning agent and a piece of cloth.
8 Dry the handwheel.

Replace defective parts only by original HEIDENHAIN components!
Control If you have found that the HR interface of the control is defective (connector X23), replace the
MC. --> See “Exchange of HEIDENHAIN Components” on page 28 – 523.
Note
Individual keys, boards and other handwheel components are not exchanged in the field!

When liquid cleaning agents have been used, the electrical devices must dry completely
before they may be operated again.
