2.5.3. Trained technician
This icon identifies Trained Technicians. Definition of a Trained Technician:
• A Honeywell team member who is a service technician, chemist, or engineer.
• A team member of the user’s company or a third-party service company who is a
service technician or engineer and has received training from Honeywell or its agent
on the operation and service of the ACM 150 monitor and who is authorized by their
company to perform this service.
• A Honeywell agent who is a service technician or engineer and has also received
training from Honeywell on the operation and service of the ACM 150 monitor.
Personnel not included in one of these categories are not authorized service technicians.
On an emergency basis, an operator who is not trained as a licensed technician may be
asked to open the doors of the ACM 150 monitor, observe operations, and report to a
trained technician at Honeywell (or its agent company). Based on those observations,
corrective actions may be recommended.
DANGER
Electrocution can occur when working with electrical circuits. Under no
circumstances shall an untrained person be permitted to access, test, touch, or
remove any electrical circuits, plates, or shields in the ACM 150 monitor. Before
servicing the ACM 150 monitor, refer to the Lockout / Tagout Procedure.

Risk analysis
The use of the ACM 150 Air Composition Monitor entails inherent safety risks. Hazards
include fluidic hazards, chemical hazards, physical hazards, and electrical hazards. Fluidic
hazards come from pressurized samples and airlines. Chemical hazards include the
hazards associated with the air sample and the hazards related to the various components
within the monitor. Physical hazards involve maintaining or removing some heavy
components inside the monitor. Electrical hazards include the high voltage (115/230 Vac)
within the ACM 150 enclosure.
