FTIR Bench installation
The FTIR bench has two clamps. After ACM 150 is installed, both clamps must be
removed before turning it on. If you need to move ACM 150 or the FTIR bench, those
clamps must be assembled before moving.

CAUTION
Establishing an Ethernet connection to the ACM 150 may expose the system to
vulnerabilities. Honeywell recommends only connecting the ACM 150 to untrusted
computers or equipment with taking appropriate measures to ensure security.
5.7.1. Remote computers
5.7.1.1.
Capabilities
The ACM 150 monitor operates and performs all its functions as a stand-alone monitor.
While it is unnecessary to connect it to a remote computer, it is recommended. The remote
computer can access all data, operations, setup selections, and test functions.
5.7.1.2.
Interface
You can connect a remote computer to the ACM 150 monitor via the internet or local
network. Authorized employees can then access the ACM 150 monitor from remote
locations. If a local network is used, you may connect as many remote computers as you
need to one or more ACM 150 monitors.
5.7.1.3.
Sending stored spectra
The ACM 150 monitor saves the infrared spectra of its area scans. The remote computer
can send the saved spectra to Honeywell via e-mail. These spectra provide a “fingerprint”
of the air samples. They are often used to verify alarm incidents and can help identify
unknown odors with spectral search software. Interpreting spectra and using FTIR lab
software and spectral search libraries requires special training. Honeywell application
chemists are experts in this field and offer this service to their customers.
