6.2. CONTINUITY OF PE CONDUCTOR – 4-WIRE METHOD (R
PE-4WIRE)
The continuity measurement performed with the 4-wire method is only available with
a test current of 25A and, due to the nature of the Kelvin method used, it does not
require any calibration of the test lead resistance. This means that it is possible to
extend (in pairs) the test cables and perform the test without altering the
measurement result. For the extension of each cable it is recommended to use the
optional 1066-IECN (Black) and 1066-IECR (Red)
1. Press the FUNC key and select the RPE-4WIRE function. The following screen is
shown on the display

2. Select the test parameters on the instrument (see Table 2) and carry out the
desired setup
