Installing an SC Fiber Connector
Procedure
1. Remove the dustproof cap of the SC
ber connector and store it for future
use.
2. Align the core pin of the male connector with that of the female connector, as
shown in Figure 4-152.

3. Feed the ber connector into the female connector, with your ngers holding
the shell of the
ber connector (not the pigtail). When you hear a click, the
ber connector is secured by the clips (internal parts, not illustrated in the
gure). Pull the ber connector gently. If the connector does not loosen, the
installation is complete. As shown in Figure 4-153.
