206 Remove and Replace the Touch Monitor
The operator interface does not contain user-serviceable parts. You can only replace the
touch monitor or master control unit as complete subassemblies.
In some conditions, the Altanium will not operate if the display is defective. If the display
input power is correctly connected and all three phase indicators are lit, then the display
could be at fault.
15.4.1 Remove and Replace the Touch Monitor
To remove and replace the touch monitor, do the steps that follow:
1. De-energize the system at the Altanium main power switch. Refer to Figure 15-2.
2. Lock out and tag the main power switch in accordance with local codes.
3. Look at the back of the touch monitor, at the bottom center, and find the cover for the
Touchscreen, Video and Power Connectors.
4. Push down and rotate the retaining tabs forward at the top of the cover to remove it.
Refer to number 1 in Figure 15-13.
WARNING!
Electrical and mechanical hazard- risk of death, serious injury and/or damage to the
equipment. Turn off all power to the system and disconnect it completely from the
main input power.
CAUTION!
Static electricity hazard - risk of damage to the equipment. Turn off all power to the
system and disconnect it completely from the main input power.
WARNING!
Pinch Point Hazard – keep hands and fingers clear of the Matrix5 touch monitor hinge
mechanism.
