How do I switch the
ZERO function OFF?
Press the ZERO button on the control panel for more than 2 seconds or on the
touchscreen .
“Vacuum" operation

If you use the "I•ZERO 2.0" setting, after pressing the ZERO button the displayed
background signal is faded out depending on the current drift. Typically, the display
limit falls in several steps. The size of the current display limit is a dimension with
which leakages can currently be measured. When measuring, the current display limit
should be at least one decade below the expected measured value.
If you use the "ZERO" setting, the currently displayed leak rate value is set to the
lower display limit after pressing the ZERO button.

When you press the ZERO button, the current leak rate value is set to the lower
display limit.
Note: The ZERO button should not be pressed when there is a rapidly falling
background, otherwise, when compared to the background change, small leak rate
signals may be incorrectly hidden.

When you press the ZERO button, the current leak rate value is set to the lower
display limit.

Vent
In measuring mode, you use this function to vent the inlet of the device and a test
specimen connected to it after a measurement. Without the suction effect of the
vacuum, a test specimen can be easily changed.

If necessary, change the setting in the "Ventilation delay" field.
ð “Immediately": If "Immediately" is activated, the ventilation is triggered when
changing to Standby.
ð “Manually“: Factory setting. If “manually” is activated, the ventilation is
activated after a longer press on the button Stop or by pressing at in the
window “Standby“. See also "Switching on [}51]".
ð "No ventilation”

If necessary, change the setting in the "Soft ventilation" field.
ð Option activated: The inlet is ventilated only very slowly. This can be useful to
avoid a strong flow in the test object, which could possibly entrain particles.
