Set-up
16: Oil return evap.
No
Yes
Select Yes to use the oil return from evaporator function. See subsection 3.6.4 Oil return from evapora-
tor (ChillPAC/PAC).
17: By-pass start
No
Yes
Select Yes to use the by-pass start function. See subsection 3.6.5 By-pass function (ChillPAC). When
choosing by-pass start it will not be possible to configure 21: Level control to LP or HP.
18: Flow evap.
No
Yes
Select Yes to use the flow evaporator function. See subsection 3.6.6 Flow evaporator (ChillPAC/PAC).
19: Flow cond.
No
Yes
Select Yes to use the flow condenser function. See subsection 3.6.7 Flow condenser (ChillPAC/PAC -
optional).
20: Liquid level limiter (reciprocating compressors)
No
Yes
Select Yes to enable the Liquid level limiter function. See subsection 3.6.8 Liquid level limiter
(ChillPAC).
This function will reduce compressor capacity with approximately 3%/sec up to 33%, as long as the
liquid level is high. When the level is back to normal, and after a time delay, the compressor is allowed to
increase capacity.
Note: This function is not available for SMC/TSMC/HPC reciprocating compressors produced before
2010 and equipped with an oil filter differential pressure switch. To use this function, the parameter Set
up/Configuration/Compressor block/Oil Filter Diff. must be set to Yes.
21: Level Control
Off
LP
HP
DX
Select LP or HP to use the LP or HP level control function. See subsection 3.6.9 Level control and sub-
section 3.1.9 Set points for regulators.
Select DX in order to regulate an expansion valve controlling the liquid filling in the evaporator according
to the suction superheat set point.
When choosing LP, HP or DX it is not possible to configure any kind of oil cooling for screw or reciprocat-
ing compressor. See 6.4.5 Oil system, 3: Oil cooling.
