5-17. Replacing the STBL Motor
(1) Widen the rail width to its maximum level.
(2) Remove the support table fixing screws d and e
(15 screws in total) to detach the support table c.
(3) Remove the encoder unit fixing screws f to
loosen the tension of the timing belt for driving of
the STBL ball screw and detach the timing belt
and encoder unit g.
(4) Remove the bracket fixing screws h to take out
the STBL motor assembly i together with the
torque supporter assembly.

(5) Loosen the set screw to detach the
torque supporter assembly from the
STBL motor assembly i.

When installing a new BU motor,
reassemble the components in the order of
steps (5) to (1).
Perform the following when reassembling.
• Adjust the gap between the torque
supporter and STBL motor.
• Adjust the tension of the STBL
driving timing belt.

• Place the support table surface
horizontally.
• Obtain the support table offset.

The gap between the torque supporter and STBL
motor must be adjusted to 1.1 mm.
