Data flow
Data flow for front panel operation is summarized by the block diagrams provided in Fig-
ure 6-21. Note that if REL is enabled, the result of the rel operation is sent to the other
blocks.

With Math (FCTN) and Limit Tests (LIMITS) disabled (see Figure 6-21A), the
SourceMeter displays the measurement readings. If the data store is used, these readings
are also stored in the buffer for later recall. Statistical data for these readings is also
available upon recall.
Figure 6-21B shows data flow when Math or Limit Tests is enabled. If Math is enabled,
the result of the math operation is displayed. If Limit Tests is enabled, the raw reading
along with the results of the tests (pass or fail) is displayed. As in the previous case, these
readings can also be stored in the data store.
Figure 6-21C shows data flow when both Math and Limit Tests are enabled. The Math
operation is performed first, and then limit tests are performed on that math result. The
result of the math operation and the result of the limit tests (pass or fail) are displayed. As
shown, these readings can also be stored in the data store.
