3 Save the change and exit the menu.
SECURED
The secured setting is stored in non- volatile memory, and
does not change when power has been turned off or after
a power- on reset (*RST command).
Remote interface operation
To secure the power supply, send the above command with
the same code as used to unsecure. For example,
CAL:SEC:STAT ON, ‘003646’ (E3646A model)
To change the security code
To change the security code, you must first unsecure the
power supply, and then enter a new code. Read the security
code rules at
“Calibration security” on page 61 before
attempting to secure the power supply.
Front panel operation
To change the security code, first make sure that the power
supply is unsecured. Go to the security code entry, press the
(Secure) key after the CAL MODE message is displayed,
enter the new security code using the control knob and
resolution selection keys, and then press the
(Secure)
key.
Changing the code from the front panel also changes the
code as seen from the remote interface.
