If the air cleaner is not in a good con-
dition, the lifetime of the engine can
be shortened, excessive soot can be
produced, and the engine power can
be deteriorated. Therefore, the lter
should be inspected frequently. Its
replacement interval can be changed
according to driving conditions. Re-
place the filter according to the fol-
lowing procedure:
1. Open the hood and check the suc-
tion hose and air cleaner housing for
damage.

2. Unscrew the air cleaner clip and
remove the cover.
3. Clean the inside of the air cleaner
housing thoroughly.
4. Replace the filter and check the
housing for damage.
5.
Install the cover and x it with the clip.
CAUTION
Use only a KIOTI genuine l-
ter. If using a product other
than the genuine one, it can
damage the engine internal
section and sensor.
Make sure that no dust enters
the system by installing the
cover rmly.
When removing the filter, be
careful not to let foreign ma-
terial enter the air inlet.

CHECK AND CLEAN CAB AIR
INTAKE FILTER
Check and clean the intake air lter
every 100 hours or more often if
needed. Keep the air lter clean for
efcient operation of the heating and
cooling system. Replace with genu-
ine parts if damaged or when the
lter cannot be cleaned.
Cab air lters remove dust in
the air, but are not capable
of removing chemicals used
in spraying crops or in weed
control. Many chemicals used
for these purposes are toxic
when improperly used, and
can be hazardous to operators
and others in the area.
Fo ll ow the instructions of
manufacturers of both the
equipment and the chemicals
regarding prohibitions against
inhalation of dust or spray,
personal hygiene practices,
and other precautions noted
by the manufacturers.
