Remove the brake release lever.
Store the brake release lever inside the
maintenance access p
anel.
Close and lock the maintenance access
panel.
Lo
wering the car apron:
1. Open the locking mechanism.
2. Lower the apron.
Check the elevator car position:
1. Open the landing doors with emergency
opening key, maximum opening width
100 mm.
2. Check the elevator car position.
Dimension Y bet
ween the landing floor
and the car floor must be 0.2 m or less.
There should be no gap between the
landing floor and car apron. If the apron is
extendable, open it to full height, and
check the distance again:
If there is no gap, and Y is 0.2 m or
less, proc
eed to section Rescue
procedures when the elevator car is in
door zone (page 150).
If there is still gap, or Y is more than
0.2 m, proceed to next step
.
3. Close the landing doors.
4. Check that the landing doors are
mechanically locked
.
NOTE! If the elevator car does not move
when
releasing the mechanical brakes, there
may be a balanced load in the elevator car.
Select one of the following:
A: Ask the passen
gers to change their
positions in the elevator car and maybe also
to jump. Then repeat steps 7 – 12.
B: Use the car lifting equipment, see section
1
