Step1.Iftheserverhasbeeninstalledinarack,slidetheserveroutfromtherackenclosure.Refertothe
RackInstallationInstructionsformoreinformationoninstallingorremovingtheserverfromtherack.
Step2.Puttheserveronaworkingareabeforeyouremoveanyservercomponentsorpartsfromtheserver.
Step3.Putyourthumbsonthebluetabs(cover-releasebuttons).Pressonthebluetaborbuttonontheleft
andslidethecovertowardtherearoftheserveruntilthecoverhasdisengagedfromthechassis.

Step4.Lifttheservercoverofftheserverandsetitaside.
Attention:Forpropercoolingandairflow,replacetheservercoverbeforeyouturnontheserver.
Replacingthecover
Usethisinformationtoreplacethecover.
Makesurethatallcables,adapters,andotherservercomponentsareinstalledandseatedcorrectlyand
thatyouhavenotleftloosetoolsorpartsinsidetheserver.Also,makesurethatallinternalcablesare
correctlyrouted.
Important:Beforeyouslidethecoverforward,makesurethatallthetabsonthefront,rear,andsideof
thecoverengagethechassiscorrectly.Ifallthetabsdonotengagethechassiscorrectly,itwillbevery
difficulttoremovethecoverlater.
Toreplacetheservercover,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Positionthecoverontopoftheserver.
Step2.Slidethecovertowardthefrontoftheserver.
