Step4.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheDIMMtoanyunpaintedmetalsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,removetheDIMMfromthepackage.
Step5.TurntheDIMMsothatthealignmentslotaligncorrectlywiththealignmenttab.
Step6.InserttheDIMMintotheconnectorbyaligningtheedgesoftheDIMMwiththeslotsattheendsof
theDIMMconnector.
Step7.FirmlypresstheDIMMstraightdownintotheconnectorbyapplyingpressureonbothendsofthe
DIMMsimultaneously.TheretainingclipssnapintothelockedpositionwhentheDIMMisfirmly
seatedintheconnector.
Note:IfthereisagapbetweentheDIMMandtheretainingclips,theDIMMhasnotbeencorrectly
inserted;opentheretainingclips,removetheDIMM,andthenreinsertit.

•TheadapterslotsareonthePCIriser-cardassembly.YoumustfirstremovethePCIriser-cardassembly
toaccesstheadapterslots.
•TheexpansionslotsonthePCIriser-cardassemblyaccommodatethevariousformfactorsofthe
non-hot-plugadaptersasfollows:
