Whenyouremoveorinstallthefixedpowersupply,observethefollowingprecautions.

Neverremovethecoveronapowersupplyoranypartthathasthefollowinglabelattached.
Hazardousvoltage,current,andenergylevelsarepresentinsideanycomponentthathasthislabel
attached.Therearenoserviceablepartsinsidethesecomponents.Ifyoususpectawithoneofthese
parts,contactaservicetechnician.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoslidetheserveroutfromtherack
enclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovethefixedpowersupply,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage157).
Attention:Toensurepropercoolingandairflow,donotoperatetheserverformorethan30
minuteswiththecoverremoved.
Step2.Disconnectthepower-supplycablesfromtheconnectorsonthesystemboardandinternal
devices;then,disengagethecablesfromanyretention-clips.
Note:Notetheroutingofallpower-supplycables;youwillroutethepower-supplycablesthe
samewaywhenyouinstallthepowersupply.
