Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoslidetheserveroutfromtherack
enclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Attention:Staticelectricitythatisreleasedtointernalservercomponentswhentheserverispowered-on
mightcausetheservertohalt,whichmightresultinthelossofdata.Toavoidthispotentialproblem,
alwaysuseanelectrostatic-dischargewriststraporothergroundingsystemwhenyouworkinsidethe
serverwiththepoweron.
Toreplaceasystemfan,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Positionthereplacementfansothattheairflowarrowonthefanpointstowardtherearoftheserver.
Note:Thecorrectairflowisfromthefronttotherearoftheserver.
