Ifyouhavereplacedaservercomponentorinstalledanoptionaldeviceintheserver,youneedreinstall
thecover,slidetheserverintotherack,reconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables,andturnonthe
serverandperipheraldevices.
RemovingtheDVDdrivecable
UsethisinformationtoremovetheDVDdrivecable.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoslidetheserveroutfromtherack
enclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToremovetheDVDdrivecable,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage157).
Step2.RemovetheDVDdrivebayfillerpanelfromtheserver.
Step3.DisconnecttheDVDdrivecablefromthesystemboard.
Attention:DonotdisconnecttheDVDdrivecablebyusingexcessiveforce.
