Attention:Donottouchthethermalmaterialonthebottomoftheheatsink.Touchingthethermal
materialwillcontaminateit.Ifthethermalmaterialonthemicroprocessororheatsinkbecomes
contaminated,youmustwipeoffthecontaminatedthermalmaterialonthemicroprocessororheat
sinkwiththealcoholwipesandreapplycleanthermalgreasetotheheatsink.
Step5.Releasethemicroprocessorretentionlatchbypressingdownontheend,movingittotheside,and
releasingittotheopen(up)position.
Step6.Openthemicroprocessorbracketframebyliftingupthetabonthetopedge.Keepthebracket
frameintheopenposition.
Attention:Handlethemicroprocessorcarefully.Droppingthemicroprocessorduringremovalcan
damagethecontacts.Also,contaminantsonthemicroprocessorcontacts,suchasoilfromyour
skin,cancauseconnectionfailuresbetweenthecontactsandthesocket.
