Ifyouareinstallinganoptionaldeviceintheserver,youneedtoslidetheserveroutfromtherackenclosure,
turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToinstallaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleintheserver,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage33).
Step2.RemovethePCIriser-cardassembly(see“RemovingthePCIriser-cardassembly”onpage163).
Step3.InstalltheServeRAIDadapterinthePCIriser-cardassembly(see“InstallinganLenovoServeRAID
SAS/SATAcontroller”onpage61).
Step4.Connectoneendofthecabletotheconnector.
Step5.Makesuretherelevantcablespassthroughthecableclips.
