PCL Emul Menu
Use the PCL Emul Menu to change print settings that only affect jobs using the PCL emulation.
Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings.
Print Menu
Settings Page
To print a listing of the current user default values, the installed options, the amount of
installed MFP memory, the status of MFP supplies, and key statistics about MFP usage.
Print Network
Setup Page
To print information relating to the internal print server and the network settings defined
by the Network Setup menu item in the Network Menu.

Menu item Purpose Values and descriptions
Font Source To determine the set of fonts
displayed in the Font Name menu
item.
Resident* Displays all fonts resident in MFP
RAM when the MFP ships from the
factory.
Download Displays all fonts downloaded to
MFP RAM.
Flash Displays all fonts stored in flash
memory.
All Displays all fonts available to the
MFP from all sources.
Font Name To choose a specific font from the
specified font source.

Resident fonts.
R0 Courier

The font name and font ID for all
fonts in the selected font source
are displayed. The font source
abbreviation is R for resident, F for
flash, and D for download.
Symbol Set To choose a symbol set for a
specified font name.

A symbol set is a set of alphabetic
and numeric characters,
punctuation, and special symbols
used when printing with a selected
font. Symbol sets support the
different requirements for
languages or specific applications,
such as math symbols for scientific
text. Only the symbol sets
supported for the selected font
name are displayed.
